We are delighted to present the latest feature from the multi-award winning, locally-based team of writer/director James Smith and  screenwriter/producer Caroline Spence.
When an enigmatic young woman arrives in a remote English village, the locals are intrigued and wary, but their suspicions are really raised when she starts asking awkward questions about a mysterious murder that took place two years ago. What happened? And why is this young woman so keen on seeking out the truth?

James and Caroline have brought together a strong cast, whose impressive credits include work for the
likes of Warner Bros., Channel 5, Disney, Netflix, Amazon Studios and the BBC, and include US actress Terry Bamberger (Good Ship Murder and Call The Midwife).

Daggers Inn is the duo’s seventh feature film. It was filmed predominantly in our county, including
Billericay and the mediaeval village of Blackmore, near Brentwood. Rather ominously for the storyline,
that name references ‘Black Marsh’ or ‘Black Swamp’…

Members of the cast and crew will be joining James and Caroline for this very special Gala screening.
There will be a Q&A after the screening.
